In my younger days,
I was a tough girl
Easy on the eyes,
With a determined mindset.
The boys had nothing on me
Once they pushed me,
And just about lived to tell the tale.
They said I fought like a girl,
Of course I did,
I used my hands, wrists and teeth,
To mark my territories on them.
Now, when they see me coming,
They doff their hats to me,
And yet, my mama said
Boys don’t respect a tomboy
They like a girlie girl.
My mama should see me now
I am queen of all the balls.
